Weekly letter from St Luke's - 28th March 2025
Dear Parish Friends
Our gospel passage this week is the familiar parable of the Lost Son (or Prodigal Son). Perhaps though it ought to be called the Son who was found, as it follow on from other parables with similar themes, the lost sheep and the lost coin, all of which were found with much rejoicing. We are reminded that we too sometimes feel lost, but it is God's grace and love that seeks and finds us.
Our services are as usual at 7am and 9am, with Zoom streaming at 9am. The 9am service will be a special service for the fifth Sunday in the month, with the children helping to lead the service. The weekly notice paper and 9am service sheet are available at the links below.
Remember that this evening there will be a special service of Evening Prayer at 6.30pm in church. Bishop John Roundhill will receive Elizabeth Lamb into membership of the Anglican Church. This will also be streamed on Zoom (in lieu of the usual Zoom Evening Prayer).
Regards
Rev'd Timothy
