Dear Parish Friends

This Sunday is the second Sunday of Easter, a season that we celebrate right through to Pentecost. Many of our bible readings tell of the resurrection appearances of Jesus, and this year we also read from the book of Revelation. The overarching theme of all of these is that of Hope - hope for the future, hope in the midst of despair, hope guaranteed by the resurrection of the Lamb of God.

In Australia and New Zealand, the annual remembrance of ANZAC will always fall in this season (the latest possible date for Easter is 25th April and it fell on this date last in 1943, and will again in 2038). This I believe is very appropriate, as the memory of the ANZACs is inextricably linked to our hope for a peaceful and just future. At our services tomorrow we will remember ANZAC, and our preacher will be Rev'd Denis.

Services are at 7am and 9am (also on Zoom). Children's Church for term two also starts tomorrow. The service sheets for the 9am service and the week's Notice Paper are available via the links below.

Yours in Christ

Rev'd Timothy
