Weekly letter from St Luke's - 21 February 2025

Dear Parish Friends

This Sunday we welcome Bruce and Libby, whom we have supported through CMS for several decades. They are coming to the end of their time working in Nepal, and are on their final 'lap' to thank their supporters. Bruce will preach on Philippians 1:3-11, where St Paul gives thanks for his companions in sharing the gospel, and prays for their continued blessing by God's grace. Our gospel passage from Luke 6 continues from where we left off last week in describing what it means to be blessed by God - it is being active for God in the world, and following Jesus' teachings; something that St Paul, Bruce and Libby, and all of us aspire to.

Our services this Sunday are as usual: 7am Holy Communion and 9am Family Communion (with Zoom streaming and Children's Church). The weekly notice paper and 9am service sheet are available from the links below.
